Ferrer passes third round





David Ferrer's ATP adventure continues in HamburgIn a Spanish derby against compatriot Ferrero, Diadora testimonial David Ferrer, was judged the winner in two sets (6-2. 6-4) after a match played equally well by both until the end until Ferrer's greater precision finally made the difference. Ranked 20th in the ATP standings, after passing the third round, David can now continue hoping to emerge as the winner of the Tournament scheduled to finish on Sunday, May 21.The 89th Edition of the Tour of Italy is also yielding gratifying results. Diadora cyclist Vladimir Efimkin keeps on surprising the punters and turning in excellent performance. Following last Saturday's 120 km run, the Russian racer born in 1981 finished 2nd just 12 seconds behind the winner of the Tour's 10th leg, the 187 km Termoli-Peschici distance that brought the cyclists to the Tour's southernmost point. Today's next leg starts in Livorno and ends in Sestri Levante.Diadora will also play a starring role in the Exhibition Match of Compassion to be played at 8.15 PM in Verona's Bentegodi Stadium on Monday, May 22 between the Italian National Singer's Football team dressed in Diadora uniforms and the Italian World Team. The proceeds of the match will be donated to research for a cure to children's leukaemia.
